Album

It's no doubt 2020 was a difficult year, but it also challenged us to reflect and do things differently. My EarGlobe pals and I had just finished writing 13 original songs and had our first live gig at The Cave Inn on Feb 29, 2020.

Then, well... COVID hit us all in the face in March.

With no possibility of more live gigs, we decided to record.

Our band master, Ross McLennon wrote Nothing is Everything and managed to secure video footage from the Hubble telescope to create our first music video. But 2020 was clearly taking its toll on the mental health of basically everyone I knew, inspiring me to write the lyrics to Tomorrow I'll Still Be Here. We were extremely lucky to have photographer and videographer, Kate Wilson in the studio, the week before life as we knew it turned on its head, and we were about to learn a whole new vocab: social distancing; learning at home; zoom meetings and 'iso.'

So it meant that Tomorrow I'll Still Be Here, was partly recorded and edited in lockdown by sending files back and forth to each other, which was a challenge in itself. We joined the online craziness of virtual band meetings, Facebook watch parties and met face to face whenever we could in between the various stages of lockdown.

Then when the going was good in August, we grabbed the opportunity to meet at The Sauce Factory Studios for a serious full day of recording. The album is now in its editing stage and we're so excited to be on track to release it in 2021 ~ no matter what life throws at us...
