Kylie Burton is an emerging writer from QLD, Australia. Her short story, Festival of Hearts, won her a place in the Writers Pen for Write Your Heart Out — a collaboration between best-selling author Trent Dalton, The Museum of Brisbane and The Brisbane Festival 2024. Kylie's short story, Rose Cottage, was published in the Write Your Heart Out Anthology.

 

Kylie's chapter, Peace-ing Myself Together, features in a second Anthology, Rising Into Greatness: stories from inspiring and courageous women, which was an Amazon #1 Best-Seller.

 

In 2024, Kylie won the Totally Lit- Micro Fiction- Carers Scholarship Award, with her short story, Peri Peri. 

 

Kylie is currently working on her debut novel, a fictional domestic noir, about the lies some families choose to serve up for Christmas lunch. When the entrée tastes like chalk, who will leave the table? And who will still be there, long after dessert?

Kylie lives with her husband and sometimes her adult offspring — whenever they need tissues, money or snacks.
