Kylie Burton's lifelong passion for the arts, health and education has culminated in freelance work as a body image and education consultant, writer and speaker.
As a creative who has spent her career presenting to large audiences, she understands the pressures and scrutiny of high level performance, including the impact of eating disorders, injuries and burnout. Despite living with her own permanent impairments, she continues to make significant contributions to the community.
Drawing on several decades of both industry and lived experience as a professional company dancer, choreographer, dance competition judge, singer/songwriter, teacher, and sessional university lecturer, Kylie now collaborates with organisations to research, write and present safer nutrition, body image and eating disorder prevention guidelines for dancers, students, and educators.
Kylie has also published several short stories and is currently working on her debut novel. Her network includes a broad community of artists, authors, educators, and health promotion activists who share a common vision ~ to continue to CREATE, CONTRIBUTE, and drive positive CHANGE for the next generation, despite ageism, or disability.
